Mahindra said- there is no scope for dispute
Mahindra Electric said in an official statement, ‘We do not see any conflict in our branding, because IndiGo is an airline company and we are a car manufacturer. The registration we have filed relates to a completely different industry and product and the company mark is ‘BE 6e’ and not ‘6E’ alone. In such a situation, there is no scope for confusion. The company said that their priority is to provide better services. Therefore, for the time being it has been decided to change the name of the car.
IndiGo operates with ‘6E’ call sign IndiGo operates with the ‘6E’ call sign, which is the basis of its branding and passenger services. This includes extra baggage option and lounge access. The airline had registered ‘6E Link’ in several trademark categories in 2015. In this, he can use 6E in services provided under Class-9, Class-16, Class-35 and Class-39.
