Residents of Muzaffarnagar will face temporary power cuts on Sunday 8 December due to electrical repair work. During this time, work will be done to replace the dilapidated DCB panel at 33/11 KV Sub-centre District Hospital, due to which 4 hours will be operated from 10 am to 2 pm.
.
Due to this repair work, power supply will be affected in many areas including District Hospital, Laddawala, Malhupura, Raidaspuri, Gangarampura, Kambal Wali Gali, Gazawali, Kachchi Sadak, Ghas Mandi, Sarwat Road and Brahmapuri. It is estimated that about 7 thousand consumers will be affected by this power cut.
Problems regarding water system
There may also be problems regarding water supply during power cuts. Water supply may be affected due to closure of water motors in many areas. Local residents have been advised to store adequate water during this period so that they do not face difficulty in case of any emergency.
Vijay Kushwaha, Junior Engineer, Electricity Department, says that this repair work is necessary so that better and safe power supply can be ensured to the consumers. Replacing worn out DCB panels will improve the quality of power supply and reduce the chances of future power cuts. This decision was taken especially in view of the problems faced in summer.
