Haldwani. A case that puts humanity to shame has come to light from Haldwani, Uttarakhand. A young man died under suspicious circumstances. He was a resident of Berinag in Pithoragarh district. The ambulance driver was demanding 10 to 12 thousand rupees from the sister of the deceased to take the dead body to her home, but due to poor financial condition of the family, the girl could not get an ambulance. With the help of taxi drivers, she tied the body on the roof of the Max vehicle and took it to the village. Everyone’s eyes were moist seeing the sorrow of losing their only brother and the helplessness of the girl.
According to the information received, the financial condition of Shivani’s family, resident of village Tamoli Gvir of Berinag, was not good. She came to Haldwani in search of work. After some time, he also called his brother Abhishek (20) to the city for work. Brother and sister used to work together in a company of Haldu Chaud. He lived in a rented house nearby. Shivani told that she and her brother had gone to work on Friday morning. After working for an hour, Abhishek took leave due to headache and came to the room. After some time, she made several calls to Abhishek to inquire about his well being but he did not pick up the phone.
Police called Shivani
As soon as Shivani reached the room to have lunch in the afternoon, there was a smell of medicine and there was no one in the room. She started searching for him. At around 2.30 pm, the police informed Shivani that Abhishek had fallen unconscious near the railway track. After which, with the help of the police, Abhishek was taken to Sushila Tiwari Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. On the other hand, after receiving information at home, relatives also reached Haldwani from Berinag. On Saturday, the police conducted post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the family members. The cause of death will be known after the post mortem report comes.
Shivani did not have money for ambulance
After Abhishek’s death, Shivani was in a bad state and crying. When Shivani talked to the ambulance drivers to take her brother’s body to her home, some asked for Rs 10,000 and some asked for Rs 12,000. Shivani did not have that much money. No ambulance owner had any sympathy for the tears of his sister crying over the death of her brother. After which he contacted a taxi owner of his village. With his help, Abhishek’s body was tied on the roof of a taxi (Max vehicle) and taken to his village Berinag. Abhishek was the only son of his family. He has two sisters. On the other hand, family members told that after hearing the news of Abhishek’s death, his parents’ health deteriorated. He is fainting again and again while crying. He has stopped eating.
