US President-elect Donald Trump met with Prince William on Saturday and called him a “good man” who was doing a “fantastic job” after the ceremonial reopening of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.
The moments of their meeting have been captured from several angles showing the Prince of Wales being a fanboy the moment he met Trump.
The two shook hands and spoke briefly at the ceremony, and met after the event for about 40 minutes at the residence of the British ambassador in Paris, where the 42-year-old Prince of Wales, still sporting a beard he grew during summer vacation, met Trump at the door, and said “Great to see you.”
Sharing a video on X, a user said, “Prince William turned into a fanboy as soon as he saw President Trump. The world knows the boss man is back.”
Another user said, “PRINCE WILLIAM JUST GAVE PRESIDENT TRUMP THE BIGGEST SMILE OF ALL TIME AT NOTRE DAME! Leaders all around the world can’t deny President Trump’s aura!”
“President Trump is greeted by Prince William, world leaders & heads of state from all over the world at the official reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral,” a user said on X.

Prince William joined approximately 40 international leaders and dignitaries in the French capital for the event.
Their previous encounter occurred in 2019 during Trump’s state visit to the United Kingdom.
Following the ceremony at the UK ambassador‘s residence in Paris, Trump spoke to journalists whilst gesturing towards William, stating: “A good man, this one!” He added: “He’s doing a fantastic job,” which prompted laughter from the prince, as per AFP.
The prince’s previous official visit to Paris was in 2017, accompanied by Princess Catherine, for a two-day diplomatic engagement following the Brexit referendum.
