Rapper Naezy recently appeared on MTV Hustle 4 as a special guest, where he not only lauded the contestants for their impressive performances but also shared insights into his own struggles.
The fourth season of MTV Hustle has been creating quite a buzz, earning praise from fans and artists alike for elevating the rap scene. Recently, rapper Naezy made a special appearance on the show, where he not only applauded the contestants’ remarkable performances but also opened up about his own journey in the industry.
Reflecting on one of the performances, Naezy shared, “Maine bhi bahut saare gaane ratte, maine bhi waise hi shuru kiya tha. One such song came out in which the entire scene was switched, then if you remember that song and have learned the rap, then you are definitely headed in the right direction. (I too started by memorizing a lot of songs, just like you. I released a track that completely changed the game, and if you’ve learned rap by memorizing that song, then you’re definitely on the right track, brother.) “
In addition to his praise for the contestants, Naezy also mentioned that one particular performance made his time on MTV Hustle truly rewarding. Naezy, whose real name is Naved Shaikh, is a renowned Mumbai-based rapper and the inspiration behind the film Gully Boy. His rise in the Indian rap scene, marked by his unique style and songs reflecting life in Mumbai, played a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of Gully Boy. The film, which closely mirrored Naezy’s personal journey and his musical contributions, highlighted the raw and authentic essence of his experiences.
Naezy had also participated in the third season of Bigg Boss OTT. Speaking about his profession and how his parents reacted to it, he stated on the show, “I became a rebel now. It was difficult to convince my parents but kis hadh tak main kamiyab hua. Ab 10 saal hogaye na mujhe, ab unko thoda toh samajhta hai ke jaane do, jo tera dil kar raha hai toh tu kar le. Tu galat hai, sahi hai woh allah ko pata hai, tujhe pata hai. Aisi understanding mein hoon main. Lekin family mein baaki logon ne bhi thoda bhadkaya. ( it’s been 10 years now and they somewhat started to understand. Now they tell me, ‘Go ahead and do what you love. Whether it’s right or wrong, only Allah knows and you know.’ That’s the understanding we have now. However, other family members were also provoked).” He was one of the finalists in the show.
