Arshad Warsi and Maria Goretti’s home in North Goa is a classic Portuguese-style house. The house offers a glimpse into their lives and family heirlooms.
Arshad Warsi and his wife Maria Goretti recently gave fans a glimpse of their Goa home. The Portuguese-style home exuded the couple’s love of all things warm and cozy. The house featured intricate details and clean aesthetics that beautifully captured the essence of the Goan philosophy of Susegad.
In a video shared by Asian Paints on YouTube, Arshad Warsi and Maria Goretti gave fans a sneak peek inside their humble abode in Goa. The house has been designed by Maria who has beautifully incorporated family heirlooms in the décor of the place. The house features a wooden cupboard belonging to Maria’s grandmother in one of the rooms. Talking about the heirloom piece, Arshad said, “This belongs to Maria’s grandmother. There is another cupboard in another room which belongs to her mother.”
Along with heirloom furniture, the couple also incorporated antique crockery pieces from their family. Showing the crockery pieces, Arshad continued, “These belonged to Maria’s grandmother. I think this is a lesson for all young kids to value your parents and grandparents. These are the things you should cherish.”
The living room boasts a beige sofa placed against a warm yellow wall. Stacked with books and other antique décor pieces, the room has a character and a certain warmth which makes it a perfect place to sit with your family and friends and have heart-warming conversations. The house also comes with a pool. Surrounded by classic thatched roofs and ample greenery, the pool offers a place to take relief from the hustle and bustle of Goa. Like most Portuguese-style homes, their house is painted in a shade of white, and occasional yellow accents break the monotony.
Talking about his relationship, Arshad said, “In a relationship, you have to agree to disagree. You have to fight. That’s just the way it is. If I were to agree with everything Maria says, I’d be lying.”
The couple tied the knot in 1999. They celebrated their 25th anniversary in February 2024.
