Angered by the non-arrest of the main accused in the murder case that took place in Bargadwa Khurd village of Belhar police station area of Sant Kabir Nagar district, the villagers surrounded the police station. Accusing the police of negligence, the villagers took to the streets when no action was taken in three days.

Chaturbhuj Mishra of Bargadwa Khurd village said that the body of his 28-year-old son Suryakant Mishra alias Suraj was found in the wheat field on the evening of December 3. On information from the villagers, police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The family members had filed a complaint against seven people, calling it a case of murder.
Police have registered a case against Ramanayan, Abhimanyu, Amit, Devendra, Ashwini, Abhishek and Santosh under other sections including murder. However, even after a week of the incident, the main accused have not been arrested.
There is anger among the villagers
Villagers allege that the police is harassing innocent people instead of catching the real accused. While the accused are roaming freely. For this reason the villagers surrounded the police station and put pressure on the police.
District President of Brahmin Mahasabha Pramod Kumar Mishra and District President of Hindu Yuva Vahini Anand Shankar Pathak visited the site of the incident. Describing the negligence of the police as condemnable, he warned that if the incident is not revealed within three days, a big agitation will be organized.
The villagers have clearly said that if timely action is not taken then situations like road jam will be created. Whose entire responsibility will be of the administration. Investigation is going on in the case, but pressure on the police is increasing.
