Bigg Boss, one of the most-watched Indian reality shows, is more than just contestants fighting over different topics and plot twists. We’ve often seen participants sharing their emotional moments, life anecdotes and desires with other housemates. In the latest episode, Karan Veer Mehra, a top contender for the Bigg Boss 18 trophy, shared his heartfelt wish to have more children.
During a casual conversation, Karan’s close friend and fellow housemate, Chum Darang, asked whether he wished to have kids. He instantly replied, “Chahiye yaar (Yes, I want).” Another housemate, Shilpa Shirodkar, on the other hand, added, “Bohot saare chahiye na (You want a lot of them right.).”
Karan instantly agreed to her and replied, “Do toh hai mere paas (pointing towards Chum and Shilpa). Do aur ho jayenge toh achha lagega. But phir main school chhodne jaunga toh aisa na bole send papa, why had dada come? (I have two. It would be nice if there were two more. But what if I go to drop them off at school and people say, send Papa, why Grandpa is here?)” Listening to this Shilpa said, “Shut up. Nothing like this will happen.”
Karan then adds, “Aisa hoga (This will happen)” and continues to act like an elderly guy. Shilpa says, “That’s why you should rush. Have kids immediately after getting out of Bigg Boss.”
Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Karan had won the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Last week, director-choreographer Farah Khan appeared on the show as a special host and lauded Karan for his gameplay and even stated the show is entirely running around the actor only.
The Happy New Year director went on to compare Karan with the late TV actor and former Bigg Boss winner Sidharth Shukla. “The last time I saw a contestant being targeted like this was Sidharth Shukla. He went on to win the show,” Farah said.
While Karan’s fans were happy to see Farah comparing him to Shukla, many expressed their disappointment on social media.
This week, the housemates nominated Karan for elimination along with Vivian Dsena, Tajinder Bagga, Digvijay Rathee, Edin Rose and Chahat Pandey.
