The District Court has sentenced the accused who raped and later murdered a 5-year-old innocent girl to life imprisonment. A fine of thirty thousand rupees has also been imposed on him. If the fine is not paid by the accused, his punishment will be increased to six months.

The incident happened in October 2012 Government advocate of the case Shilpi Bhadauria said that the incident of rape and murder of the girl took place on October 24, 2012 in Sector-39 police station area. The girl was originally a resident of Badaun and lived with her family in a rented house in a village located in the police station area. Amit, a tractor driver living in the neighbourhood, had to visit her house. He had taken the victim with him on the day of the incident on the pretext of visiting a fair. He took the girl to the forest, raped her and then killed her.
Sentence given after listening to lawyers’ arguments While presenting the side of the accused, his advocate Charan Singh Bhati said that the accused is a member of an ordinary family. This is the first criminal incident committed by him. He has old parents at home who have no one to take care of them. He is in jail since 2012. On this, Advocate Shilpa Bhadauria argued that the accused had brutalized the girl for five years. He has also tried to hide the evidence of murder. The nature of the crime committed by him is heinous. Many such arguments and debates took place between the lawyers of both the sides. Ultimately the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The hearing lasted for several years The hearing of the case continued in the court for about 12 years. During this period, a total of 14 witnesses appeared, which included the girl’s family members as well as police officers and doctors. After the testimony of 14 people, the court found Amit guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Amit is originally a resident of Dhelanganla of Didoli police station area of JP Nagar. In this case, the police, monitoring cell and prosecution unit of Sector-39 police station advocated intensively. The result was that the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The accused’s blood was found on the girl’s clothes
During investigation, it was revealed that after killing the girl, accused Amit wanted to bury her body under the soil, but then some people reached there and the matter was exposed. The police arrested the accused and sent him to jail. Since the incident till now the accused is in jail. Now he has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Police had recovered the clothes of the victim girl from the spot, which were sent to the lab for testing, the blood found on them was found to be that of the accused.
