BLACKPINK’s Rose has been all over the news ever since she released her first-ever solo album, Rosie. From her first single, APT., featuring Bruno Mars, to her insights into the themes of the album, everything has captured public attention. During the promotional spree for her album, Rose went on to talk about her experience of dating as a K-pop idol.
The 27-year-old singer disclosed that her ex-boyfriend was the inspiration behind the title track, Toxic Till The End. She shared that she even had a fight with her ex while she was on tour with her band. These confessions made her fans believe that just one person inspired her entire album. However, Rose revealed that wasn’t the case.
Recently, Rose participated in an online listening party on Spotify, where she answered questions that were posed by her fans. During the session, one of her fans asked her about the song titled Drinks or Coffee, a b-side from her album Rosie. The song talks about meeting someone at a party and not being able to take them out of the head.
The BLACKPINK member shared that the inspiration behind the song was meeting someone cute at a party and realising how the mood of the party changed for her immediately after meeting the person. While Rose did not disclose the identity of the person, her fans quickly donned their investigative hats. A section of her fans pointed out that the 27-year-old idol was talking about BLACKPINK’s Coachella afterparty, which ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo also attended.
One of Rose’s fan pages shared photos of the two K-pop idols from the party on X. Soon, fans of the BLACKPINK member started sharing their thoughts on the speculation, one of whom wrote, “He’s also the first person to come to my mind when I first read it.” Another said, “MY DREAM COUPLE STOP!” A third fan of the K-pop idol mentioned, “I find Cha Eun Woo cute too.”
Just months ago, the dating rumours of BLACKPINK’s Rose and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo resurfaced. This time, the two idols were spotted at the same art exhibition, and their similar Instagram posts were enough to reignite their dating rumours. In one of the pictures in their respective carousels, Rose and Eun Woo were minutely watching a mouse peeping through a hole in the wall, which further intensified the rumours.
Back in 2021, the two K-pop idols got embroiled in dating rumours for the first time when they visited the same art exhibit just days apart. After this, Rose and Cha Eun Woo were photographed at the same restaurant during the Paris Fashion Week, followed by the ASTRO member attending BLACKPINK’s Coachella afterparty in 2023.
