Today i.e. on 13th December, Sensex is trading at the level of 80,770 with a fall of more than 500 points. Nifty has also fallen by 150 points, it is trading at the level of 24,380.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 are declining and 7 are rising. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 39 are declining and 11 are rising. All sectors in the NSE Sectoral Index are trading with a decline.
Mixed business for Asian markets
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei fell by 1.23% and Korea’s Kospi rose by 0.50%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a decline of 1.43%.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,560.01 crore on December 12. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth ₹2,646.65 crore.
- On December 12, America’s Dow Jones fell 0.53% and closed at 43,914. The S&P 500 fell 0.54% to 6,051 and the Nasdaq lost 0.66% to 19,902.
IPO of International Gemological Institute will open today
The initial public offer (IPO) of the International Gemological Institute, a company that certifies diamonds and jewellery, will open today. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till December 17. The company’s shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on December 20.
The company wants to raise ₹4,225 crore through this issue. For this, the existing investors of the company are selling 65,947,242 shares worth ₹2,750 crore. Along with this, the company is issuing 35,371,702 fresh shares worth ₹1,475 crore.
The market closed with a decline yesterday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on December 12, the Sensex had closed at the level of 81,289 with a fall of 236 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 93 points, it closed at the level of 24,548.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 were in decline and 12 were up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 35 were in decline. There was more decline in Energy, FMCG and Auto shares. At the same time, growth was seen in IT and banking shares.
