Trick to prevent cooker from turning black
If the cooker becomes discolored and black from inside while boiling potatoes, then whenever you boil potatoes, add water to the cooker. Clean the potatoes thoroughly. Add potatoes in it. Now put one spoon of white salt and a few pieces of lemon peel in the cooker. Now put the lid of the cooker and put it on the gas. Adding lemon peel and salt will prevent the cooker from turning black from inside. You can try this trick while boiling anything in steel utensils or aluminum utensils also.
When boiling potatoes, keep these things in mind
– Many times the cooker does not predict how many whistles it will take to cook the potatoes. Sometimes they melt too much and burst. To avoid this, add as much water in the cooker as the potatoes can submerge.
– Add some salt to the water. Put the cooker on high flame and whistle for two to three whistles. Now turn off the gas and do not release all the pressure by blowing the whistle, rather let the steam escape on its own. With this, even if the potato is raw, it will boil completely on its own. The peel will also be removed easily.
– If you get busy in some work after switching on the cooker and by then 6-7 whistles have passed, then immediately turn off the gas, release the steam from the whistle, open the lid and take the potatoes out of the water. This will completely prevent the potatoes from melting and breaking.
