There is an attempt to remind people of Tretayug by planting plants of Ramayana period plants on the path of Ramvanagamana. The memories of Treta will be refreshed by the planting of Kalpavriksha, Sita Ashok and Harishankari plants mentioned in Ramcharit Manas and Valmiki Ramayana in Panchvati island. About 10 thousand Ramayan period saplings have been planted so far. Panchvati Island is being prepared in the area of Jamthara Majha where big bushes used to grow earlier. Now at night it has started glowing with the light of solar light.
Shri Neelam Sanstha of Banaras has taken 75 acres of land on lease from Ayodhya Development Authority and is busy in finalizing it. It is being prepared for both devotees and tourists. There will be 27 cottages in the tent city equipped with modern facilities for stay. With these features, weddings can also be organized in Panchavati Island. Only the nod for its commencement is awaited from the National Mission Ganga Committee Delhi (NMCG).
Nilayam organization has applied for the same. It is likely to start in the new year. If the devotees will set up Yoga Ashram and Sadhana Gram Asana in the island, then there will be a Kids Play Zone for the children and an Adventure Zone for the youth. The adventure water sports run by the Nilayam organization at Guptarghat is now ready to be taken to the other side of Panchavati island. Horse riding, camel and elephant riding can also be enjoyed in the island. In the first phase it is being developed on about 40 acres. Later, the remaining area will be developed along with other facilities as per the need. According to project manager Yadvendra Pratap, preparations for Panchavati Island are in the final stages. It will remain closed only during the rainy season from June to September.
