Local18, while talking about the specialties of Geranium, Nripendra Chauhan, director of the Aromatic Plant Center located in Selaqui, said that this plant is famous for its sweet, flower-like aroma. Essential oil is extracted from its leaves and stems by steam distillation technique, the market price of which ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 per litre. That means it is not just a plant but a machine for printing notes. This oil is extensively used in beauty and health products due to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

When to cultivate geranium?
According to Nripendra Chauhan, the best time for geranium cultivation is from October to June. However, it is very important to be careful in its cultivation, because this plant is sensitive to moisture. Giving excess water can spoil its quality.
