Eggs are included in the powerhouse of food. It can be boiled, eaten as omelette or curry, out of which egg curry is very tasty. It is made by mixing perfect tomatoes, onions and spices. Egg curry is a delicious and protein-rich dish, but some common mistakes in making it can affect the taste.
failure to boil eggs thoroughly
Many times the egg is undercooked or overboiled, due to which its taste and texture gets spoiled. Boil the eggs for 8-10 minutes. If boiled too much, their yellow part may become rubbery. After boiling, immediately put it in cold water, so that it becomes easier to peel and the egg does not get overcooked.
not cooking spices properly
Leaving the spices undercooked or not giving them time to roast properly. Cook onion, ginger-garlic paste, and tomato on low flame until oil starts appearing at the edges. This deepens the flavor of the curry. Add turmeric, coriander powder, chilli and garam masala to the curry masala and cook on low flame.
Putting eggs directly into gravy
Adding boiled eggs without frying them or directly into the gravy can make the taste dull. Apply turmeric and salt and fry the eggs lightly. This improves their taste and texture when added to gravy. Make small cuts in the egg so that the spices can reach inside properly.
Not balancing the taste of gravy
The taste of egg curry can also get spoiled due to imbalance of spices or salt in the gravy. Measure the quantity of spices and salt carefully. Adding too much chilli can spoil the taste. Use coconut milk, cream, or curd in the gravy, so that the spiciness of the spices is balanced.
Incorrect amount of water in gravy
Egg curry is too thick or too thin, which can spoil its taste. Add the amount of water as per the requirement of the curry. If you want thick gravy, cook it on low flame and simmer it. While making the gravy, add water little by little and stir continuously.
