Vikrant Massey has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi became emotional while watching the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’. He also liked the story of the film.
Vikrant said- PM Modi liked the film. At the time of the screening of the film, he was probably as emotional as I was. His eyes were moist. It is a matter of satisfaction that our efforts were right in conveying to the people what had happened 22 years ago.
Vikrant said- PM praised me
In an interview given at Times Network India Economic Conclave 2024, Vikrant further said – PM Modi told me that he liked my work very much. This is a compliment that will stay with me for the rest of my life. They think I am a good actor. I will tell this to my grandchildren too.
PM had praised the makers after watching ‘The Sabarmati Report’
Vikrant Massey starrer The Sabarmati Report was released on 15 November. PM Narendra Modi watched the film on December 2. A special screening of the film was held in the Balayogi Auditorium of Parliament. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and many ministers, MPs and actors had also come to watch the film.
After the screening, PM Modi praised the makers of the film on his ex-handle. He had written- Attended the screening of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ with fellow NDA MPs. I appreciate the makers of the film for their efforts.
Vikrant had said- It is my good fortune to watch the film with the Prime Minister.
Actor Vikrant Massey spoke to the media after watching the film with PM Modi. He had said- Today it was a different experience watching the film with the Honorable Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers. I probably won’t be able to explain it in words. Very happy that I got a chance to watch the film with all of them. Watching a film with the Honorable Prime Minister is the highest point of my career.
The film is based on Gujarat riots
‘The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the 2002 Godhra incident and the subsequent Gujarat riots. At the time this incident happened, Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat. Modi was also accused of not taking any concrete steps to stop the riots. However, he was later given a clean chit.
