DehradunA case has come to light in Doon Medical College Hospital of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, where for the first time in the world, the body of a two and a half day old baby girl Saraswati was donated. Actually, on December 8, Saraswati’s mother had labor pain, after which she was delivered through cesarean process. Everyone was happy with Lakshmi’s arrival in the house, but this happiness lasted for a few moments. The family was devastated when the girl was diagnosed with a heart related disease. She was kept in NICU ward, but the girl died on 10 November. After Dadhichi Dead Donation Committee and the hospital made the parents aware, his dead body was donated to the Anatomy Department. Made a great donation by donating the body of Saraswati for two and a half days.
The girl’s body will be helpful for the anatomy department.
Medical Superintendent of Doon Hospital, Dr. Anurag Aggarwal informed that on December 8, the couple from Haridwar Jwalapur came to Doon Hospital, where their baby girl was born. The girl was having trouble breathing due to a heart-related disease. After which he was shifted to ICU. Despite all their efforts, the doctors could not save him and he died on 10 December. After this, Mohan Foundation and Dadhichi Dehdan Samiti inspired the girl’s parents to get the body donated. He said that the girl had come into this world only 2 days ago, but unfortunately the girl’s life could not be saved. But while leaving, she did social work. He said that such noble deeds also inspire other people that if body donation is done after death, it helps the doctors to understand the human structure easily. Doon Hospital administration thanked the girl’s parents and honored them by presenting them a sapling.
