Mayor Prashant Singhal and Municipal Commissioner held a meeting with the officials and decided the outline of the development.
Aligarh will give the gift of development to the city residents in the new year. Work will be done in the city with an amount of Rs 43 crore. In which Rs 28 crore will be spent to solve the problem of drinking water and drainage.

Mayor Prashant Singhal and Municipal Commissioner Vinod Kumar have approved these proposals from the budget of the 15th Finance Commission. Development works will be carried out in various wards of the city and problems of the common people will be resolved. The officials have approved this proposal after meeting.
Work will be done in the Municipal Corporation area
Development work will be done from the budget received under the 15th Finance Commission of Uttar Pradesh Government. The committee headed by Mayor Prashant Singhal on Monday approved the development work to be done in Aligarh Municipal Corporation area with an amount of Rs 43 crore 21 lakh 10 thousand.
58 construction works will be carried out in the city limits with an amount of Rs 27 crore 83 lakh. This includes 47 road drains, Kharanjas work, 6 drain construction, 2 Dharamshala construction, 1 road widening divider construction and 1 road lighting beautification. Work will be done under 07 drinking water supply and drainage at a cost of Rs 15 lakh 38 thousand.
This includes construction of 10 new tube wells, 2000 pieces of domestic water connections in the newly expanded ward, 5 tube well reinforcements, replacement of CWR pumps in the water well complex, laying of pipeline in Ward 78, construction of sump well for drainage in Ward 53, construction of sump well for drainage in Ward 57. There will be construction of drainage pumping station and replacement of pipelines laid in Ward 28 and Ward 60.
CC road will be built, there will be interlocking
Under the scheme, a road will be constructed by CC from Vardhaman School to Etah Chungi Bypass on Ravantila Road in Ward No. 57, 67 at a cost of Rs 98 lakh 57 thousand. Interlocking work will be done on both sides.
In Ward No. 58, 63, 82, work will be done to install roads and street lights from below Chharra Adda bridge to near the railway station at a cost of Rs 153 lakh 35 thousand. In Ward No. 2, 14, road widening work will be done from Model Wine Shop on GT Road to Sarsaul intersection at a cost of Rs 190 lakh 94 thousand.
CC road construction work worth Rs. 135 lakh in Ward No. 64 to C&D Best Plant in Baraula Jaffrabad, development works in many wards including road construction and drain construction work in ADA Colony in Ward No. 50 have been approved. The quality of all work will be checked by a third party agency.
