New Delhi. Mahindra has recently created a stir in the electric vehicle industry by launching two new electric SUVs built under its INGLO platform. The company has launched BE 6 and XEV 9e in the Indian market. Be it design or performance, people are liking both the cars very much. The company had unveiled these cars in a spectacular manner, showing their potential. At the same time, these cars of Mahindra are coming with some such features which even the big companies selling electric cars like Tata, Hyundai and MG are not providing till now.
Mahindra has provided Dolby Atmos premium sound system in these electric cars. Dolby sound system will provide unmatched audio experience in these cars, making songs more immersive and better heard. Dolby Atmos with BE 6 and XEV 9e is embedded in the SUV’s infotainment system. This innovation provides a premium music experience to Indian customers, made possible due to Dolby Atmos technology.
High-end audio setup
Both SUVs have a premium audio setup of 16 Harman Kardon speakers. The front seats are equipped with three-way speakers, which include a tweeter, mid-range driver and woofer. Harman’s patented unity speaker design has been given in the centre. Rear surround speakers deliver mid-range sound, paired with a subwoofer and two ceiling-mounted speaker drivers, making the audio experience even better.
With Dolby Atmos, this is the first time that Indian customers will be able to experience such advanced technology in electric SUVs. This offering from Mahindra is an important step towards innovation and premium audio quality in the Indian market.
Price and Variants
The base variant of Mahindra BE 6 has been brought at a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the starting price of XEV 9e is Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the electric-only INGLO platform, both these electric SUVs will be available for booking in late January 2025, while deliveries will begin in late February 2025.
Mahindra is offering the BE 6 and XEV 9e with two battery packs – 59kWh and 79kWh. These are LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery packs, for which Mahindra has filed 35 patent applications. The BE 6 and XEV 9e, equipped with a 79kWh battery pack, offer a driving range of 682 km and 656 km (ARAI certified range, MIDC stage 1 + 2) respectively.
