It can be clearly seen in the video that children are standing in the open part of the loader and no measures have been taken for their safety. The video was recorded by a vehicle rider and uploaded on social media, due to which the video quickly went viral. Serious concern is being expressed regarding the safety of children in the viral video and social media users have given a strong reaction to it.
People on social media expressed concern over this incident, saying that this incident is a clear disregard of the law and putting the lives of children in danger. One user wrote, “The law has been made a mockery, many school children are traveling without protection, risking their lives.” While some other users termed it as negligence of the department and said that “The department wakes up only after accidents, first such cases should be taken seriously.”
After the viral video, Unnao police took cognizance of the matter and instructed the traffic in-charge to investigate. Police have said that after this incident, action will be taken against the loader driver, who was making children ride in the loader without any protection. Police have also said that the incident falls under traffic rules violation and a report will be obtained from the concerned authorities.
Responding to the matter, a senior Unnao police officer said, “We have taken this matter seriously and will soon take strict action against the concerned loader driver and other responsible people. Any kind of disciplinary action will be taken against the children for their safety.” Negligence will not be tolerated.”
