Rampur. SIT has registered a case in Civil Lines police station in connection with fraud in insurance claim by showing fake road accident in Rampur. Four people including the lawyer have been made accused in the case. SIT investigated the entire case on the orders of the High Court.

In this, lawyer Mohammad Alim had filed a case of a fake road accident in Rampur on 9 November 2018, claiming Om Prakash and his wife Chandrawati as victims. Contradictions were also found in the story of the accident that happened to Om Prakash and his wife. Om Prakash had earlier said in the details of the incident that he was returning from his in-laws’ house with his wife on a bike, while later he had come to Rampur with his wife by roadways bus.

Later the lawyer defended the case and also filed the charge sheet in the court.
There was a change in the testimony of the eyewitness during the investigation During the investigation, eyewitness Bhikam Singh retracted his testimony and said that Om Prakash had given a wrong statement about the incident. The investigators learned that Om Prakash’s brother Rampal and son Charan Singh gave different statements about the incident site and said that the incident took place in Dalpatpur Mundhapande, where Om Prakash’s bike was also found parked.
