Ramnagar: A case of smuggling of ganja in filmy style has come to light from Ramnagar in Uttarakhand. In Ramnagar, two smugglers of the gang who smuggled ganja in an ambulance equipped with siren and blue light were caught by the police during checking. 58 kg of ganja has been recovered from smugglers. The accused were carrying ganja from Saraikhet to Moradabad. The ambulance, with its siren sounding, was trying its best to take the marijuana to its actual patients, crossing all the roads, but it could not happen.
Ramnagar CO Bhupendra Singh Bhandari said that the police team under the leadership of Kotwal Arun Kumar Saini was checking at the forest barrage post on Patkot Road. Then the police saw a white colored Maruti Eeco ambulance coming from Patkot. Seeing the police team, a person sitting in the ambulance and the driver tried to run away by opening the door. Whom the police caught on the spot. While checking the ambulance by the police, 5 cartridges were found. When the boxes were opened by the police, 58 kg 16 grams of ganja was recovered from them.
Ambulance used for smuggling of ganja
CO Bhupendra Singh Bhandari said that during interrogation, the accused told that the police does not stop the ambulance anywhere. Because of which smuggling in ambulance is very easy. The arrested accused have been identified as Randhir Singh, resident of Kazipura Moradabad, Arun Kumar, resident of village Sattikhed Bhagatpur Moradabad. The CO said that information has been taken from the accused about other members of their gang. After which the accused have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
