He said that due to the negligence of Metro, houses are getting damaged and daily needs are not being met. The sewers and pipelines there have become choked and damaged. Due to which the lives of the citizens here are in danger and there is also a threat to life and property. Metro officials told that pumps have been installed to drain the sewer and an operator has been appointed to operate the pumps. The Cabinet Minister expressed strong displeasure over the delay in the work of the new sewer line.

Metro officials said that Rs 53 lakh has been released to the water supply department. On this, DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari instructed GM Jalkal to start quality work on the sewer line soon. The rent reimbursement by the Metro to the building owners who were displaced due to the Metro construction was also reviewed. In which it was told that everyone’s rent has been reimbursed and a Deputy Chief Engineer has been nominated to solve the problem. In the meeting, strong objection was raised to the disconnection of electricity connections by Torrent on the basis of old bills of DVVNL and instructions were given to stop it immediately and DVVNL and Torrent should survey each ward and identify the building owners who have outstanding dues.
