Similarly, a daughter of Uttarakhand was not made the CM but was definitely made the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for a day. We are talking about Ranikhet tehsil of Almora district of Uttarakhand. Babita Parihar, a student of Government Inter College Chaumudhar development block, Tadikhet, became SDM for a day. She studies in 9th class. Ranikhet Joint Magistrate IAS Rahul Anand gave him charge for a day. In this one day, Babita heard the problems of the public and also learned about how administrative work is done.

According to the information received, on December 14, a general knowledge competition was organized by Ranikhet’s SDM IAS Rahul Anand, in which students studying in Government Inter College Chaumudhar development block took part. In this, Babita, resident of Suri village, had secured the first position. After which Sub Divisional Magistrate Rahul Anand decided to make him SDM for a day.

After becoming SDM for a day, Babita Parihar was brought to the office in a government vehicle and was also welcomed. After this he saw how administrative work is done, public problems are heard and solved. Babita will also be given a free educational tour of boating, zoo and aeries in Nainital. Babita said that she enjoyed becoming SDM for a day. His dream is to become an IAS officer in future.

This initiative of SDM Rahul Anand increased self-confidence among the students and it will increase their interest in administrative work. Other students also performed better in the general knowledge competition held in the school. In view of this, Rahul Anand also gave certificates and medals to the children. SDM Rahul Anand said that such programs will now be run every month so that children can develop self-confidence and they can learn a lot with new information.
