Nainital: Like previous years, tea service is being organized in front of Nainital Sikh Sangat Gurudwara of Uttarakhand as part of the martyrdom week of four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. In which tea is being distributed to the local people including the tourists coming to Nainital. These days it is extremely cold in Nainital. In such a situation, the tea being distributed by the Sikh community in the evening is giving relief to the people from the cold.
Nainital-based Gurdwara Committee Secretary Amarpreet Singh told during a special conversation with Local 18 that a tea service is being organized by the Sikh Sangat in Nainital as part of Martyrdom Week. Recalling the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Sahib, he said that the entire family of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib and his mother were martyred for the country on this day. He was buried alive in the wall on 26 December. Remembering his sacrifice, tea service is organized by the Sikh Sangat outside the Nainital Gurudwara throughout the week.
Langar organized on 29th December
Amarpreet says that such martyrdom of the entire family of Guru Gobind Singh will not be found anywhere in the history of the world, where his 7 and 9 year old children were nailed to the wall. In memory of his martyrdom, a program of tea distribution is run in Nainital from 4 pm to 6 pm throughout the week. Which will run till 28th December. He told that his Martyrdom Week will conclude on Sunday 29th December, to commemorate which Darbar, Kirtan and Langar will be organized in the Gurudwara. In which along with the local people, tourists coming to Nainital will also taste the langar prasad.
