Dehradun: The weather pattern of Uttarakhand is going to change from today Friday. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for 27 and 28 December. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in both these days. The Meteorological Department has once again issued a forecast for the entire Uttarakhand, according to which there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at many places in the state as well as snowfall in higher altitude areas on December 27 and 28.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of light to moderate rain at many places in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar. The weather department has predicted severe cold in the state.

Meteorologist gave information
Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of Dehradun-based Meteorological Center, said that due to active Western Disturbance, there are chances of changing the weather pattern in the state once again. On December 27 and 28, the state may see rain and snowfall at some places. Snowfall may occur especially in areas at an altitude of more than 2200 meters, due to which there are chances of the cold increasing with the drop in temperature.
This means that overall, tourists will be able to enjoy snowfall at tourist places during the New Year celebrations. However, the Meteorological Department has advised to take special precautions to avoid cold during this period. Instructions have been given to take special care of children and the elderly.
Dehradun will remain cloudy
Talking about the weather of the capital Dehradun, today it is likely to be cloudy in most areas. Along with this, there are chances of light rain at isolated places in the afternoon and evening. The maximum temperature of the capital is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius on Friday.
Dehradun’s minimum temperature is 7.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Centre, the maximum temperature of Dehradun on Thursday was recorded at 24.6 degrees and the minimum temperature was 7.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Pantnagar was 25.3 degrees and the minimum temperature was 6.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 15 degrees while the minimum temperature was 3.2 degrees Celsius.
At the same time, the maximum temperature of New Tehri was recorded at 15.5 degrees and the minimum temperature was 4.3 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the air quality index of Dehradun was recorded at 78, which comes in the satisfactory category.
