Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert is taking place on 25-26 January. Before the concert, the Child Protection Unit of Ahmedabad has issued a notice to singer Chris Martin and Coldplay Organization. The unit warns that children should not be used in concerts in any form.
The organization has also been instructed that no child will be allowed to enter the concert without earplugs or hearing protection. The unit also said that sound level more than 120 decibels during a concert can pose a risk to the health of children.
It has also been mentioned in the advisory that if the instructions are not followed, strict action will be taken against the organization. This notice has been issued in response to a complaint filed by Pandit Rao Dharnevar, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Chandigarh.
While talking to news agency ANI, Dharnevar said – Involving children in music events with loud noises and bright lights can harm their physical health and mental growth.
