The five-day 68th School Regional Athletics Competition is going on at Lalpur Stadium in Varanasi. Players from 18 divisions including Varanasi are participating in this competition. One of them emerged as the golden girl of Nishtha Track of Unnao district of Lucknow division.

Nishtha, who came to Varanasi with her parents to participate in the competition, has qualified for the National School Competition. Nishtha wanted to become a sprinter since childhood and in her very first state level competition, she secured her ticket to the Nationals.

Qualified for nationals with three gold medals Unnao’s sprinter Nishtha Tripathi is spreading her golden glow in the 68th Regional School Athletics Competition going on in Varanasi. Nishtha attracted everyone’s attention by winning gold medal in 100 meter and 200 meter race in sub junior category in this competition held in Varanasi.
Nishtha, a resident of Safipur in Unnao district, had traveled to the state by winning gold medals in regional, district and divisional competitions. Now she has qualified for Nationals.
Nishtha Tripathi is a student of class 7. Nishtha has Dainik Bhaskar Told that he was fond of racing since childhood. I have been racing in school competitions for the last five years. Currently studying in class 7 in BRS Sarvodaya Inter College.
In such a situation, he has participated here in Sub Junior i.e. Under-14. Nishtha said- It feels great when you win a medal and especially when your parents are sitting in front to watch your performance.
Everyone was impressed by Nishtha’s race, the coach said – she will bring a medal in the nationals.
Father advocate, always supports Nishtha told- Her father Ambrish Tripathi is an advocate. When I insisted on running in my childhood, he did not stop me. Always supported me. Apart from this, my coach also always inspires me to move forward. My coach Kushmesh sir has always encouraged me to move forward.
I wanted to become a racer since childhood, I am very happy to go to Nationals Nishtha said- I have no inspiration. Yes, I had it in my heart since childhood that I wanted to become a racer and today I have reached this stage. Qualified for Nationals. It is a great pleasure.
Nishtha said – The goal for the country is to win a medal in the Olympics.
Olympics is the goal Nishtha said- We are watching that phase of the Olympics. Where Indian players are bringing medals in individual competitions. This is the initial stage but the target is Olympics. I want to bring glory to the country by bringing Olympic medal.

I told myself in childhood that I wanted to become a racer. Nishtha has come to Varanasi with her father Ambrish Tripathi and Smriti Tripathi. While talking, father Ambrish Tripathi said – When Nishtha was a child. When she was in third class, one day I jokingly asked her what she would like to become as a daughter and she directly said that she wanted to become a racer. After this he did not look back. She has been running in school competitions since Class 3.
Father Ambrish told that at the age of three, Nishtha had said that she wanted to become a racer.
Today my heart is very happy that my daughter is going to National. Ambareesh said- Today my heart is very happy that my daughter has won three gold medals and she is going to Nationals. She gives the credit for this success to her parents but the biggest contribution goes to her coach Kushmesh sir. Who always inspired him to move forward and took him further in every competition. Today he is present here.
Had become sad after fracture in leg Ambareesh told- Nishtha’s leg was fractured in an incident. Because of which he had to stay away from track and field for several months. But she did not give up her hard work of four years and as soon as she recovered, she returned to the track and after hard work, today she targeted the gold which is taking her to the national competition.
Nishtha’s father said – just keep moving forward daughter, nothing else is required.
There was never any problem, my daughter just kept playing. Ambareesh said- We are from a middle class family but our daughter was never made to feel any shortage. His diet is provided to him on time. So that there is no impact on his game. Everyone wants to see an Olympic medal in his hands in the future.
