Jehanabad: In the changing times, farmers of the country are inventing new technologies so that their income increases and they can get two meals a day. In fact, they were not able to earn well by doing traditional farming. Many times one had to bear losses also. In such a situation, now the pattern of farming has been changed and farming has been started. Good income is also being earned from this. Farmers of Jehanabad district are also experimenting in farming, in which some farmers have got success. Today we will know about one such successful farmer, who has been cultivating tomatoes for the last three years and is growing three times the crop as compared to normal farming. Due to this his condition has also improved from before.
Actually, Rinku Singh, a farmer from Jagpura located in Makhdumpur block of the district, earlier used to do farming like common people. Learned new technology by watching from YouTube and implemented it on the ground. Today he cultivates tomatoes, which is different from the common people. He has planted tomatoes in 9 pots. He has a total of 1.25 bigha of land on which he does farming. Apart from tomatoes, he also grows chillies on a large scale. He says that ever since he started farming with new technology, he has been getting good yields. This earns decent income. We grow tomatoes according to the alan method. In this, the hard work and expenditure is a little more than normal farming, but the crop production is also higher.
How to start farming with this method
Rinku Singh told Local 18 that he first started cultivating tomatoes as an experiment by planting alan from 6 leaves. During this time, when tomato was ready, it was felt that it would be more profitable than what we do in ordinary farming and something similar happened. There was a good yield, after seeing three times the profit, I decided to cultivate tomatoes in the same manner again next year and announced the cultivation for the next year also. Again there was profit and good yield once again. After this, it was believed that this pattern is very beneficial for the mango farming we do. However, one has to work harder. In this, the yield from one stalk will be up to 30 quintals whereas in normal tomato cultivation you can yield only up to 10 quintals.
Understand the complete mathematics of farming with this method
He told that at present 9 Katthas are being cultivated in the Alan method. We sow tomatoes in August. At the same time, it is planted in September. It is ready in 2 months. Fall starts from November, which continues till May. Growing tomatoes using this method can yield two to three times the benefits. Unless the weather hits. By cultivating this method, the loss of tomato crop is significantly reduced. You can easily pluck the fruits. Can spray medicines. Not only this, you can easily treat the weed that causes the most damage to tomato cultivation. This is the reason why by farming with this method you get two times to three times the yield.
