KOCHI: Kerala high court Saturday strongly criticised the state govt for failing to provide details of expendable funds available in the state disaster response fund.
“You are not sure Rs 677 crore is in the SDRF account… If you cannot even provide an approximate statement of expenditure, how can we claim no funds have been received from the central govt? If there is a discussion in the assembly about not receiving central funds, who are you trying to fool,” Justices AK Jayasankaran Nambiar and CP Mohamed Nias asked.
The bench was considering a suo motu petition initiated by HC following the Wayanad landslides.
